Quick update - Disappointing news

I just got off the phone with Rachel at Acres of Hope. Apparently Chris (from the agency) and the birth mother were turned away because the Embassy did not have a record of the appointment for the interview. That is indeed frustrating, as I have the e-mail from the Embassy establishing the dates. Unfortunately, Chris did not have a copy of the e-mail with him, or he might have been able to convince them that they were wrong about there not being an appointment.

So, we are now trying to schedule the birth mother interview for Tuesday, the 12th (the date originally reserved for us), and need to set up a new appointment for our interview. While we would love to set it for the 14th (they only schedule them on Tuesdays and Thursdays), I believe we need to wait until after the birth mother interview takes place to schedule our next flight so that we don't incur any more change fees than is necessary.

Keep us in your prayers.

Our hearts ache with you. We know the frustration of delay. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick" as the Proverbs say. Truly God has a design in this. It is possible that His design is that more of us would pray with more earnestness so that more of us can join in the spiritual celebration that will always occur (and uniquely occurs) for those who have asked God for something.

We are indeed praying for you and that while we certainly do not know the reason, God is still on the throne, and His perfect will will be accomplished.

So sorry to hear of this setback. Indeed we had a number of them as well with our adoption. Unfortunately, it seems to be the norm more often than not. We will continue to pray for your strength, peace and ability to roll with this coaster!
